> Multi-user office? If two or more people need Jakten on separate PCs, use Choose Your Deployment and the Office Deployment Guide instead. Activate once per company deployment — on the server for office profiles, on this PC for single-user.

1. Welcome

This guide walks a single-user customer from purchase through the first Risk project on one Windows PC.

After completing this guide you will have:

• Installed Jakten Platform on your PC
• Activated your subscription once on this deployment
• Signed in as administrator with your seat assigned
• Opened Jakten Risk on a project

2. What you purchased

Single-user example: one Risk seat for one person on one PC.

If you purchased multiple seats for a team on separate PCs, stop here and follow Choose Your Deployment.

3. What you receive after purchase

When you complete payment at checkout.jakten.net, you receive:

Copy and securely store your activation key when it appears. If you lose it before activating, contact support.

4. Before you begin

No developer tools or server software are required on your PC.

5. Install Jakten Platform

1. Download Jakten Platform Setup.exe from your onboarding email or checkout success page.
2. Optionally verify the installer hash if Jakten provided one in your onboarding email.
3. Run the installer and complete the wizard.
4. Confirm Jakten Platform appears in the Start Menu.
5. Launch Platform — you should see First administrator setup.

If Platform fails to start, check the log folder under your Jakten Risk application data directory and contact support.

6. First administrator setup

Complete the setup wizard:

Click Complete setup, then Sign in with the email and password you created.

7. Activate your subscription

1. Go to Administration → Licensing.
2. Enter your activation key in Activate subscription.
3. Click Activate with key.
4. Confirm license status shows Active and includes Jakten Risk.

Accept legal agreements when prompted (EULA, Terms, Privacy). Data entry is blocked until acceptance is complete.

8. Enable Jakten Risk and assign your seat

1. Go to Administration → Products and Enable Jakten Risk.
2. Go to Administration → Licensing → Seats.
3. Assign Jakten Platform and Jakten Risk seats to yourself (the administrator).

9. Open your first Risk project

1. From the Dashboard, click Create Project.
2. Enter a project name and select a WBS version (starter library is published automatically at activation).
3. Open the project and assign Jakten Risk if prompted.
4. Click the Jakten Risk tab.

Risk opens inside Platform. See the Jakten Risk Launch Guide for daily analytical work.

10. Renewal and billing

Your subscription renews annually. Update payment method and view invoices through the Stripe Customer Portal (link from your Stripe receipt or Jakten support).

11. Getting help

Contact [email protected] with your company name, Platform version, activation key prefix (first segment only), and the step where you are blocked.
