Activation key — Secret code delivered at checkout and in onboarding email. One key per company deployment, not per user.

Administrator (company) — Person who manages users, seats, products, licensing, and legal acceptance for the company deployment.

D

Deployment — A single installed instance of Jakten Platform holding one company's data (one database set). A company typically has one deployment.

Desktop client — Jakten Platform application installed on a user's Windows workstation. In office mode, it connects to Platform Server.

E

Entitlement — Licensed right to use a product module (such as Jakten Risk or Jakten Platform) under your subscription.

J

jakten.net — Northland commercial services domain (checkout, licensing, documentation). Does not store customer project data.

Jakten Platform — Company shell application — users, projects, licensing integration, and module hosting.

Jakten Risk — Paid risk analysis module consumed through Platform.

M

Module — Licensed product such as Jakten Risk. Platform is a derived module included with paid module seats.

P

Platform Server — Windows Service on an office server that hosts shared APIs and databases for multi-user office deployments.

Profile (deployment profile) — Release 1 supported topology: single-user, multi-user office, or SQL Server (planned, not GA).

S

Seat — License for one named person to use a product. Seat count comes from purchase (e.g. 5 Risk seats = 5 people).

Single-user deployment — Platform and Risk on one PC with all company data on that machine.

Subscription — Annual paid relationship managed at jakten.net and mirrored locally after activation.

W

Workstation — End-user Windows PC running the Platform desktop client in office deployments.
